Classes are shuffled at least every other year so children have the opportunity to develop a wide range of friendships. Our children leave equipped with not only a strong academic foundation but also emotional intelligence and the ability to get on with a wide range of people.

We work with parents to promote good manners and respect for each other, and have a nurse on duty to provide mental and physical healthcare support. Our pastoral care is centred on Houses – Montagu, Fitzpiers, Stafford and Wingfield (all named after former owners of Kimbolton Castle) – made up of pupils from Years 3 to 6, with a variety of talents and abilities.
This interaction between age groups fosters a culture of kindness, as younger pupils look up to the older ones, and older pupils look out for and support their younger peers. Termly inter-House competitions promote positive self-esteem and camaraderie. With general knowledge, music, singing, reading, writing, cross-country and sports events, there really is a chance for everyone to shine.
